  1. I really enjoyed the appearance on the MMA Hour. Alistair seems to be a really mellow, intelligent guy. It's hard to understand why some people appear to have an issue with him--it's the same with Remy Bonjasky.

What I don't understand is why the new episodes appear on MMA websites before here. I watched this a couple of days ago on Bloody Elbow. It'd be nice to hear from Valentijn at some point.

Anyway, the very best of luck to the Reem. I'm a big Fedor fan, but I do hope it's a good fight. I'm also becoming an Alistair fan.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that Alistair agrees to take part in the K1 Grand Prix again this year... and breaks a few faces.

  4. I have grown to become a HUGE Alistair Overeem fan. As Timothy above me has stated: a breath of fresh air in the american MMA scene. I hope Overeem continues on a war path, and destroys everyone who steps in front of him.

    HERE'S TO OVEREEM!!!

  5. Alistair, congratulations on a great victory! You looked realy good, congrats! I liked your appearance on the MMA hour with Ariel Helwani.

I hope you get to fight Fedor next. I am a big fan of Fedor but being Dutch myself of course I hope you'll win.

One advice if you fight Fedor, just dont make a big deal out of it. That's where a lot of other guys partly gave their power away. It's just a fight, no more no less. It's all just a game. Do what you always do, train good and prepare the best you can, thats all you can do, the rest is out of your hands.

Like you yourself said before the Rogers fight "just go out there and have fun". Enjoy the beauty of the moment.

And remember Fedor's hard to knock out or submit, so dont blow yourself up trying to finish him, just stay collected as you always are and be patient, stay relaxed, accumulate damage on him, don’t steer your hands, let your hands steer themselves. Opportunities will present themselves, dont rush it. And if no big opportunity to finish him presents itself you will still win a decision because you will most likely be able to dominate the fight if you stay in your center and dont “overstretch”.

Also remember, dont feel obligated to, or allow your pride to let you think you have to win in spectacular or dominant fashion like Arlovski tried to do. Fedor makes people believe they are winning and he makes them feel comfortable and when they get too comfortable and make one sloppy mistake he makes them pay.

A win over Fedor is as big as it gets no matter the way you do it.

And most important, give him the respect and love he deserves as a human being, GIVE and you will get. Not many people know this, but this is actually one of Fedor's secrets. Fedor did not get to where he is now by "taking" it, but by giving. Because “giving” is the same energy as receiving.

Alistair, when you fight Fedor, just enjoy the moment, the experience, being in the ring (cage) with him, enjoy every breath you are taking. Let the outcome go, throw it out the window. It is not important. The moment is all that matters. You will receive the outcome that is for your highest good. Veel succes man! Enjoy. Ron

  7. I love the series so far. It's rare to see an MMA documentary with such high production values, so I think your guys did a really good job on this. I wrote a quick review of this video, which you can read here. Hopefully other MMA "producers" will pay attention to this.

  8. Keep up the good work big man.
Was interested in watching u fight ever since Hari called u out. Then to see u knock him out Dec 31st was like wooow.

The rematch sucked cos of that stupid 2knock down rule. I hope u don't go back to K1. Don't want u to get injured in a K1 fight, that mite keep u from defending your Strike Force Title.

Your fights are always entertaining, and I love your style. Keep it up champ.
